CityU showcases artifacts of Cantonese opera

The Chinese Civilisation Centre of City University of Hong Kong (CityU) and the Cantonese Opera Academy of Hong Kong co-organised an exhibition, entitled “Cantonese Opera Artifacts from Chinese Artists Association of Hong Kong”, lasting from today to 1 November. This exhibition is divided into five themes, namely “The Beginning”, “On Stage”, “Career on Charity”, “Nurturing the New” and “Prospect”, showcasing numerous artifacts of Cantonese Opera in Hong Kong, including historical photos, theatrical costumes and stage props. The exhibition will provide a rare opportunity for interested parties and the general public to appreciate the fascination and unique characteristics of Cantonese Opera. The exhibition will be held at CityU Gallery. Opening hours are 10 am to 7 pm daily.
