City University of Hong Kong (CityU) will host the Symposium on Teaching and Learning of World Civilisation on 10 – 11 January to explore ways of teaching and learning about global civilisation for the 21st century in the context of Hong Kong, mainland China, Taiwan and Asia as a whole.

Officiating Guests at the Opening Ceremony include Professor Way Kuo, President; Professor Richard Ho, Provost; Professor Paul Lam, Vice-President (Student Affairs); Professor Cheng Pei-kai, Director, Chinese Civilisation Centre; Professor Martin Painter, Acting Dean, College of Humanities and Social Sciences; and Professor Jonathan Webster, Head, Department of Chinese, Translation and Linguistics of CityU.
