More than 100 final-year students in the Department of Marketing at City University of Hong Kong (CityU) recently conducted marketing research and submitted consultancy projects on behalf of nine local and multinational companies. An award presentation ceremony will be held on 9 January to recognise their achievements.
Students conducted research on consumer behaviour, combining theory and creativity, and proposed strategies for companies to develop new markets. The projects were praised by the companies and students gained valuable experience that equips them to pursue marketing careers.
Officiating at the ceremony are Chair Professor Matthew Lee Kwok-on, Associate Dean (Research and Postgraduate) of College of Business at CityU; Mr Arthur Chan Man, Chairman of Departmental Advisory Committee in the Department of Marketing; and Professor Zhou Nan, Head of the Department of Marketing. Representatives from participating companies, including General Mills Hong Kong, Swire Coca-Cola HK, Reckitt Benckiser Hong Kong, Circle K Convenience Stores (HK), Wilson Communications, LCX, iDS, Bank of Communications Company and GlaxoSmithKline, will present the awards.
