City University of Hong Kong will hold an opening ceremony for the newly established Wind Tunnel Facility of the Department of Building and Construction. The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technology that allows it to conduct a range of tests on buildings, bridges, urban ventilation and air pollution. The facility could help test whether a building could withstand extremely strong winds or whether there is adequate ventilation in built-up areas.

 

Professor Edmund Choi, an expert on wind engineering, will take the media on a tour of the Wind Tunnel Facility after the ceremony.
