The Division of Building Science and Technology (BST) of City University of Hong Kong (CityU) will hold the opening ceremony of the two-day BuiltExpo 2008 on 18 April. The organising committee will announce results of the BuiltExpo 2008 Project Competition and present awards to the winners.
Organised under the theme “Towards Building Excellence”, the Expo will showcase more than 100 pieces of projects in building and construction from final-year students of CityU’s four building-related Associate of Science degree programmes. Projects on display include designs for high-rise commercial buildings, proposals on converting existing old buildings into multiple usage buildings and ideas on redevelopment. The projects incorporate improvements to building time, cost, quality, safety and environmental performance.
Winning teams will meet with the media after the opening ceremony to discuss their exhibits.
