CityU receives international award for artificial intelligence application

Dr Andy Chun Hon-wai, Associate Professor of the Department of Computer Science at City University of Hong Kong, received an international award in July for the artificial intelligence (AI) system he designed for the Immigration Department in Hong Kong. The award was given by the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence, the world’s leading AI organization.

In addition, Dr Chun has designed an AI software system for the “HKSAR 10th Anniversary Cup”, a rehearsal for the Olympic Equestrian Game next year.

He will be introducing the award-winning AI solution to the Immigration Department and will talk about the AI solution he designed for the up-coming equestrian game.
