IACD Hong Kong Conference 2007 under the theme “Partnership for People-centred Development: Challenges & Responses in a Globalising World” will be held at City University of Hong Kong from 24 June to 27 June. The participants have come from all over the world to discuss the value of community development and to promote its practices in their communities.

 

The International Association for Community Development (IACD) has organized its biennial international conferences in the UK, New Zealand, US and Cameroon since its reconstitution in 1999. This is the first time the IACD conference has taken place in Hong Kong. The conference is sponsored by the Home Affairs Bureau of the HKSAR Government, and it has been selected as one of the key events under HKSAR 10th Anniversary Celebrations.
