The 5th International Conference on Marine Pollution and Ecotoxicology, organized by City University of Hong Kong, will be held from 4 to 6 June 2007. Over 250 scientists, government officials and consultants from all over the world will present the latest findings in marine pollution research and discuss techniques at the forefront of pollution monitoring and control. There will be several references to key areas including Hong Kong and South China coastal regions.

The conference will focus on innovative technology in marine pollution control and monitoring; chemicals of emerging concern in the marine environment; ecotoxicology and risk assessment; eutrophication and hypoxia; persistent organic pollutants; endocrine disrupters; and pollution monitoring and remediation.
