Prize Presentation Ceremony 2007 for Strategic Management in Chinese Enterprises

The Prize Presentation Ceremony 2007 for the Strategic Management in Chinese Enterprises will be held on 8 May (Tuesday) to honour students from City University of Hong Kong (CityU) for their outstanding performances in conducting marketing consultancy studies. The event is being organized by the Department of Marketing.

The Department of Marketing has made an agreement with the Shenzhen Splendid China Development Company Limited to provide marketing consultancy services for its two theme parks: the Shenzhen Splendid China and the Chinese Folk Culture Village.

The final-year students from the China Business stream used survey and observation methods to collect data, analyze the quality of the services provided in the theme parks and offered practical recommendations for improvement. They also drew comparisons with the marketing strategy and management methods used at Hong Kong Disneyland.

Professor Christian Wagner, Associate Dean of the Faculty of Business, and Mr Li Yan-zhong, General Manager of Shenzhen Splendid China Development Company Limited, will officiate at the ceremony. Student representatives from the winning team will meet with the media.
