The City University of Hong Kong (CityU) Choir and the Peiyang Chorus of
The two choral troupes will perform songs from different musical genres. The CityU Choir will debut a musical based on the true story of a former CityU student Dzi Mou who died young after contracting HIV during a blood transfusion for leukaemia. The musical A Wide Wide World Out There shares the same title as Dzi Mou’s book and pays tribute to his unyielding passion for life.
Professor David Tong Shuk-yin, Deputy President of CityU, Dr Ruth Yee Wing-yu, Associate Director of CityU's Student Development Services, Professor Liu Jianping, Chairman of the Administrative Council of Tianjin University, and Professor Ren Baoping, Director of the Arts Education Center of Tianjin University, will meet the press to introduce the programme. Student performers will be available to share their experience.
