A postgraduate law student at City University of Hong Kong (CityU) has been selected as a Young Global Leader 2007 by the World Economic Forum, recognizing his efforts in promoting Hong Kong as an international arbitration centre.  

 

Mr Christopher To Wing is the only nominee from Hong Kong among the 250 distinguished young leaders around the world below the age of 41 to receive this honour this year. Other prominent nominees were athlete Mr Liu Xiang and basketball player Mr Yao Ming. A total of 4,000 people were nominated.

 

An engineer turned arbitration professional, Mr To is currently the Secretary-General of the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre. He has been promoting Hong Kong as a world-recognized arbitration centre and has established its status in resolving domain name disputes.

 

Mr To will share his thoughts and feelings about being elected as a Young Global Leader and about his experience in arbitration work.
