City University of Hong Kong (CityU) will hold “Korea Week 07” from 22 January (Monday) to 25 January (Thursday) for people who want to know more about Korean culture, society and economic development.

 

“Korea Week 07” has been organized by the Department of Chinese, Translation and Linguistics and the Halliday Centre for Intelligent Applications of Language Studies at CityU. It has been co-organized by the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea, the Korea Tourism Organization, LG Electronics H.K. Ltd, and Samsung Electronic H.K. Co., Ltd.

 

Mr Cho Whan-bok, Consul General of the Republic of Korea, and Dr Jonathan Webster, Head of the Department of Chinese, Translation and Linguistics will officiate at the ceremony. After the ceremony, Ms Julia Han Ji Yeon and Mrs Karen Lai Kim Won Kyung from the Department will introduce the unique Korean Studies courses offered and to be newly presented at CityU, and a graduate will share her experience of studying the Korean language and working in a Korean environment. There will be exhibitions, workshops and seminars during “Korea Week 07”.
