CityUHK Annual Report receives prestigious international recognition, including one Platinum and three Gold awards.

City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) is pleased to announce that its 2023/24 Annual Report has received prestigious international recognition, securing one Platinum award and three Gold awards. These accolades signify more than just design excellence; they also reflect the University's high standards in professional governance and institutional transparency.

Themed “Innovating into the Future,” the report exemplifies how CityUHK integrates innovative elements across its teaching, research, and administrative management. Coinciding with the University’s 30th anniversary, the report chronicles pivotal milestones, including a significant rise in global rankings, the expansion of international strategic partnerships, the opening of the CityUHK (Dongguan) campus, and the University’s leadership in fostering regional innovation ecosystems. Distinguished by its creative design and compelling narrative, the report stood out among those of its international peers, reflecting the University’s unwavering commitment to leading global innovation and advancing sustainable development.

In the League of American Communications Professionals (LACP) 2023/24 Vision Awards, the report was honoured with the highest accolade, the Platinum Award, and was ranked among the Top 100 Annual Reports worldwide. The competition was exceptionally tough, attracting submissions from nearly 1,000 organisations across more than 20 countries and regions, representing a diverse range of industries. The report’s excellence was further validated across other premier industry platforms, including the International ARC Awards—renowned as the “Academy Awards of Annual Reports” and hosted by MerComm, Inc. CityUHK secured the Gold Award in the "Non-Profit Organization (Print A.R.): University" category. This was followed by a Gold Award at the 2025 Galaxy Awards for its exceptional visual design in the "Design - Covers: Annual Reports - Graphics/Text" category, and another Gold Medal at the 2025 International Annual Report Design Awards (IADA) in the UK.

The report’s cover, inspired by the concept of a rapidly evolving digital brain, symbolises CityUHK’s drive to innovate into the future through multidimensional strategic thinking, taking the institution beyond the ordinary and into the extraordinary. The notable achievements listed in the report highlight CityUHK’s relentless pursuit of innovation and excellence as it continues to contribute to a sustainable and prosperous future.

The University published its 2024/25 Annual Report last month, themed “Innovation on the Rise – 30 Years and Beyond.” The interactive design element transforms the digital eye into an abstract representation of Earth, highlighting CityUHK’s ambition to become a leading international university and its mission to go global.
