The Young Scientist Scheme (Category A) is the country’s highest-level funding programme under the NSFC for young research talent. Four CityUHK scholars were awarded under this scheme, each receiving RMB4 million for research spanning chemistry, biomedical sciences and electrical engineering.

Additionally, seven CityUHK scholars received RMB2 million each under the Young Scientist Scheme (Category B), and 33 scholars received RMB300,000 each under the Young Scientisrt Scheme (Category C).

12 research projects were funded under the General Programme, with each awarded between RMB400,000 and RMB550,000.
