Being named the "Most International University in the World", CityUHK is seeing a significant increase in non-local student applications for this academic year. The University is admitting non-local students on a “gradual and progressive” basis, and expects the number of admissions to increase by nearly 20% year-on-year.

CityUHK also held an Orientation Expo on 1 and 2 September in the Yeung Kin Man Academic Building. The event featured over 40 booths set up by student groups and societies, allowing new students to explore various activities, discover their interests, and learn more about the support services available to them.

In addition, to strengthen anti-fraud education, CityUHK has partnered with a local telecom operator to launch monthly mobile phone plans with anti-fraud detection features in the 2025/26 academic year, and is actively promoting them during the first week of school, hoping to effectively help students identify potential risks.
