P12: The Exotic Quantum World: An Introduction to Quantum Technologies (奇異的量子世界：淺談量子科技)

This talk explores how the quest to understand the structure of atoms led to the discovery of quantum mechanics, revolutionising our understanding of the universe. The talk will also examine how exotic quantum phenomena—such as superposition and entanglement—are harnessed for secure communication and quantum computing.

Students will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the fascinating world of quantum physics through interactive experiences powered by virtual reality (VR) technology.

本講座將探討人類對原子結構的追尋如何引領出量子力學的發現，徹底革新我們對宇宙的理解。講座也將介紹量子力學中如「疊加」與「糾纏」等奇異現象，如何被應用於安全通訊與量子運算等尖端科技。

學生亦將有機會透過虛擬實境（VR）技術，親身體驗量子世界的奧妙與奇幻。
