Residence Tutorship 2026/27

High-caliber PG and senior UG students, with a heart in providing pastoral care to fellow residents and dedication to serving the halls, are warmly invited to take up this voluntary service as Residence Tutors (RT) in 2026/27 at the Student Residence in Ma On Shan (MOS).

While the Residence Masters are working on the hall culture and year plan, they look for RTs:

  • PG students to serve in PG halls (Hall 12-13)
  • PG or senior UG students to serve in UG halls (Hall 14 - 17)

Session3

Eligibility

Full-time UGC-funded RPG & UG senior-year students normally possessing a CGPA of 3.0 or above, including:

  • Nominative 4-year undergraduate students: have completed a minimum of 60 credit units
  • 4-year undergraduate Advanced Standing I students: have completed a minimum of 30 credit units
  • 4-year undergraduate Advanced Standing II students

* Student from one-year PCLL will also be considered.

Terms of Service

Service Period 2026/27

RTs are expected and required to serve a full residential year:

  • UG Halls (Hall 14-17@ Ma On Shan):
    16 July 2026 to 15 July 2027
    (move-in RT room on 31 July 2026)
  • PG Halls (Hall 12-13@ Ma On Shan):
    17 August 2026 to 16 August 2027
    (move-in RT room on 19 August 2026)



Session4

Mandatory Requirements

Applicants interested in RT service are expected to:

  • Give consent to SRO in obtaining one’s CGPA and approaching referee directly on one’s suitability as RT.
  • Report duty as stated in the Terms of Service.
  • Attend RT Composite Workshops in July 2026*.
  • Attend RT Leadership Day Camp in September 2026*.

Interview Period

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for interview from 29 April to 24 May 2026
