  2. Allocation criteria

    • Priority will be given to the first two study years of Full-time Non-local students in government-funded Bachelor's Degree programme, with 2nd study year of hall residence being allocated in Kowloon Tong Compound.
    • All students are required to submit hall application by deadline, otherwise, NO bedplace will be reserved even they have higher priority in first two years of study.
    • Higher priority will only be granted in the first two years of study, and the priority given cannot be transferred to subsequent years of study (i.e., 3rd year of study or thereafter).
    • For subsequent years of study (i.e., 3rd year of study or thereafter), non-local students are expected to secure their own housing in the market and are advised to prepare sufficient funds to cover such accommodation. Further information can be obtained from the Student Residence Office website.
    • Hall application is on a yearly basis. Please pay close attention to the application period and late application will not be entertained.

  4. Admission of returning students will be made upon Residence Masters' recommendations, which are based on the following considerations:

    • academic performance;
    • the combined scores of "Leadership Qualities and Potential Contribution to Residence Life" (Score B);
    • their previous achievement / contribution / performance made in residence life;
    • previous disciplinary records within the halls.

    For returning students, year of residency is based on residence record on AIMS during student's entire study period cumulatively excluding the summer residence.

All students interested in living in the Student Residence should submitting their application via AIMS before deadline.

Upon the announcement of application results, students have to pay a Confirmation Fee to indicate the acceptance of the offer by a specified deadline. The confirmation fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.

No place will be reserved if you missed the payment deadline.

Students will be normally assigned to double rooms. The small number of single rooms will be firstly assigned to those who have medical reasons or special needs with supporting documents enclosed in the completed application. The room assignment result will be announced 3 days before the residential period.
