Event: Opening Ceremony of 2014 Conference on Social Work and Social Sustainability in Asia

Experts from Hong Kong, Australia, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, Vietnam, and the US will share their insight on promoting social sustainability in Asia at the “2014 Conference on Social Work and Social Sustainability in Asia” from 19 to 20 June 2014 at City University of Hong Kong (CityU).
Professor Way Kuo, President of CityU, and Professor Lo Tit-wing, Head of CityU’s Department of Applied Social Studies, will act as the officiating guests at the opening ceremony.
Two keynote speeches will be delivered at the ceremony: (1) “Social Work & Sustainable Development: Theories & Concepts” by Professor Iris Chi, Chinese-American Golden Age Association/Frances Wu Chair for the Chinese Elderly, School of Social Work, University of Southern California, US, and (2) “Neoliberalism and Globalization: Trends Shaping Sustainable Social Work Practice” by Professor Michael Holosko, Pauline M. Berger Professor of Family and Child Welfare, School of Social Work, University of Georgia, US.
