Record turnout by CityU for Standard Chartered Marathon 2013

Over 1,000 runners from City University of Hong Kong (CityU) comprised the largest-ever CityU delegation to take part in the Hong Kong Standard Chartered Marathon. This was the sixth year in a row that CityU has sent runners to the event.

Led by Professor Way Kuo, the President of CityU, runners participated in the 10-kilometre, half-marathon and full marathon on 24 February. The CityU runners demonstrated great enthusiasm and a strong spirit of unity during this renowned sports event.

The CityU delegation was backed by a full support team, and cheering colleagues gave them the morale boost they needed to cross the finish line.

Professor Kuo participated in the 10-kilometre race for the fifth time. Together with other CityU team members, they completed the race successfully.
