CityU alumni reunion at homecoming gala

 

 
More than 2,000 alumni, staff and students and their families enjoyed a fun-filled Sunday at the CityU Homecoming Gala today (28 October) at City University of Hong Kong (CityU) campus. Under the theme “CityU Family Blossoms in United Colours”, this major event held for and organised by alumni showcased the versatility, diversity, harmony and caring spirit of the campus community.
 
The kick-off ceremony was officiated by Council members Dr Joseph Lee Chung-tak and Mr Armstrong Lee Hon-cheung; Ms Karmen Chan Ka-man, Convocation Chairman; Mr Peter Ho Ka-nam, Chairman of CityU Eminence Society; Professor Way Kuo, University President; Professor Arthur Ellis, Provost; Professor Roderick Wong Sue-cheun, Vice-President (Development and External Relations); Mr Gabriel Chan Sai-man, Chief Administration Officer; Professor Julia Tao Lai Po-wah, Chief-of-Staff; Ms Kathy Chan Yin-ling, Associate Vice-President (Alumni Relations);  and 13 alumni association representatives. Singing performances by alumni Mr Andy Leung (C AllStar) and Ms Sita Chan, added to the joyous atmosphere of the occasion.
 
The gala was organised by the Alumni Relations Office and a group of volunteer alumni. Activities include a movie screening, international food festival, fun learning classes, reunion luncheons, game booths and sports activities. Guided tours gave alumni the opportunity to learn about new developments at the campus.
