Eminent scholars from academia worldwide shared their insights into challenges and perspectives in advanced electron microscopy and instrumentation and their applications in materials science, biology and physics at a forum hosted by HKIAS at CityU from 11 to 14 December.
Professor Denver Li Danfeng, from the Department of Physics at CityU, was honoured with this year’s Chen Ning Yang Award (C. N. Yang Award) for his groundbreaking discovery and synthesis of the first nickel oxide (nickelate) superconductors.
CityU held a screening and director-sharing session on the movie Time Still Turns The Pages on 8 December. Mr Nick Cheuk Yick-him, Director of the film and a graduate of the CityU School of Creative Media was invited to share his experience.
