A technology-driven customer relationship management (CRM) laboratory was launched by City University's Division of Commerce on 29 April. NEC Hong Kong Limited donated equipment and software and will provide technical support. The Commerce Applications Technology Laboratory (CAT Lab) will provide an advanced environment for staff and students to gain the latest customer relationship management skills.
Five enterprises signed an agreement of sponsorship with the College of Higher Vocational Studies on April 12. They would offer sponsorship of teaching software, project consultancy, staff training as well as possible student employment to the College's Division of Commerce by the agreement.
CityU and Hewlett Packard (HP) Hong Kong Ltd have joined forces in an effort to teach the ins and outs of mobile-commerce (m-commerce) to industry leaders. The Division of Commerce and HP offered the first m-commerce certificate course in January.
