The 3rd IEEE Conference on Control Technology and Applications at CityU from 19 to 21 August brings together more than 300 engineering specialists from over 30 countries and areas.
A research team comprising experts from CityU , Harvard University and Nokia Bell Labs has successfully fabricated a tiny on-chip lithium niobate modulator, an electro-optic modulator which is more efficient, with faster data transmission and lower costs. CityU researchers are looking into its application for the coming 5G communication.
