Professor Paws visits CityUHK for the 11th consecutive year to promote student mental health and a culture of care

Animals have always been considered good friends of humans. Since 2015, the Student Development Office of CityUHK has co-organised the "Professor Paws Therapy Dog Programme" with Animals Asia, allowing students to take a brief break to interact with the beloved "Professor Paws", providing a much-needed opportunity for students to slow down and relieve stress amidst their busy academic lives.

CityUHK holds Long Service Award Ceremony for 271 staff members

CityUHK held a Long Service Award Ceremony for 271 dedicated staff members in recognition of their long-term contributions to the University. Five of the recipients of the Long Service Awards have served at CityUHK for 40 years, and 124 have served for 30 to 35 years. In addition, 27 staff members received the 25-year service award, and the rest have served for 10 to 20 years.

Professor Ma Junzhang, from the Department of Physics at CityUHK, has been awarded the 2025 C. N. Yang Award in recognition of his groundbreaking achievements in discovering and characterising multiple emergent quasiparticles across diverse crystalline systems. Professor Ma was the sole awardee from Hong Kong, China this year.
