The Second Foreign-related Legal Training Programme for Shanghai Hongkou District Justice Bureau
The Second Foreign-Related Legal Training Programme for the Shanghai Hongkou District Justice Bureau successfully concluded on 7 August 2026. This intensive week-long programme was organized by the School of Law (SLW) at City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) from 3 - 7 August 2026.
Throughout the week, participants attended five lectures and participated in five visits. The lectures were delivered by Ms. Heidi CHUI, Partner at Stevenson, Wong & Co; Mr. WONG Sin Tuen, a senior cross-border lawyer and member of the Shenzhen Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference; and Mr. Jacky T.K. LAI, an Accredited Mediator. Participants also had the opportunity to visit the Legislative Council, the Hong Kong Bar Association, Des Voeux Chambers, the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre, and the West Kowloon Mediation Centre.
Through this training, participants not only deepened their understanding of foreign‑related legal knowledge, but also acquired a comprehensive understanding of Hong Kong’s mediation and arbitration systems, while significantly enhancing their practical skills.
The closing ceremony was successfully held on 7 August 2026, at the School of Law, City University of Hong Kong. Prof. WANG Jiangyu, Associate Dean of the School of Law, expressed his gratitude in his address to the Shanghai Hongkou District Justice Bureau for their continued trust, which enabled the successful organization of this second training programme. He also expressed his hope for further strengthening exchanges and cooperation with the Hongkou District in the future.
Ms. LI Tianjun, a lawyer from Shanghai Licheng Law Firm, delivered a speech at the closing ceremony. She sincerely thanked the Shanghai Hongkou District Justice Bureau and SLW for providing the participants with such a valuable learning platform, and expressed her appreciation for Hong Kong’s unique judicial system and legal framework.
"I am grateful to the Shanghai Hongkou District Justice Bureau for offering us a platform for in‑depth learning and exchange, and to the SLW for the meticulous curriculum design and visit arrangements over the past week. This training is not merely an accumulation of knowledge, but also a practical opportunity for Shanghai lawyers to enhance their foreign-related service capabilities and to understand cross-border regulations."
香港城市大學法律學院舉辦之上海市虹口區司法局 - 涉外法律專業實務研修班於2026年8月7日圓滿結業。是次研修班爲期5天，由2026年8月3日至7日在香港城市大學舉行。
在為期一週的密集培訓中，學員共參與了五場專題講座及五次實地參訪。法律學院特邀多位業界資深專家授課，包括史蒂文生黃律師事務所合夥人徐凱怡律師，跨境民商事資深律師、深圳市政協委員黃善端律師，以及專業調解員黎子健大律師。參訪行程涵蓋香港立法會、香港大律師公會、德輔大律師事務所、香港國際仲裁中心及西九龍調解中心，讓學員親身體驗香港法律實務運作。
透過是次培訓，學員不僅深化了對涉外法律知識的理解，更全面認識了香港的調解及仲裁制度，實務能力亦得到顯著提升。
結業典禮於8月7日上午在香港城市大學法律學院舉行。法律學院副院長王江雨教授在致辭中感謝上海市虹口區司法局再次給予信任，使第二期研修班得以順利舉辦，並期望未來能進一步加強與虹口區的交流與合作。
研修班學員代表、來自上海市理誠律師事務所的李恬君律師發表結業感言。她真摯感謝虹口區司法局與香港城市大學法律學院為學員搭建了寶貴的學習平台，並對香港獨特、獨立且備受國際認可的司法體系和法律制度表示讚賞。她表示：
