Fitness User Eligibility

General

Q1)

Ans:

Who is eligible to use the on-campus physical fitness rooms?

Full-time students, part-time students, full-time staff, their dependents (at the age of 15 or above), spouses, and courtesy card holders are eligible to use the on-campus physical fitness rooms.
    
Staff dependents and spouses must hold a valid CityUHK ID card.

Ans:

How can eligible users reserve the on-campus physical fitness rooms?

For students and staff, you can reserve the on-campus physical fitness rooms by logging into the Sports Facilities Booking and Information System (SFBI System).

 

For staff dependents, spouses, and courtesy card holders, you can reserve the on-campus physical fitness rooms by visiting Physical Fitness Room I counter, at 4/F Purple Zone, YEUNG.

Application for the Eligibility

How can I obtain the fitness room eligibility?

For non-experienced users, please refer to P.3 to P.4 of “Application for Using Physical Fitness Rooms”. 
    
For experienced users, please refer to P.6 to P.7 of “Application for Using Physical Fitness Rooms”.

Ans:

How long is the eligibility period for fitness users?

Under normal circumstances, the fitness user eligibility record will remain valid until you leave or graduate.

 

The PE Section reserves the right to reject or cancel the user eligibility record, if deemed necessary.

Ans:

What steps do I need to follow to transfer my eligibility if I change my status?

If your user category has changed, please bring your current CityUHK ID card to the PE Section counter. The transfer procedure will be completed within 3 to 7 working days.

Q6)

Ans:

How long can I receive the fitness user eligibility after completing “PED1305”/” Physical Fitness Room User Training Workshop”?

Upon completion of the “PED1305 Physical Fitness – Elementary” or “Physical Fitness Room User Training Workshop”, eligibility will be updated within 3 to 7 working days.

Ans:

How can I check if I am eligible to use the on-campus physical fitness rooms?

For students and staff, you can login to the Sports Facilities Booking and Information System (SFBI System) to check for your fitness user eligibility. Eligible users will be able to select “Physical Fitness” and “Physical Fitness II” in the facility column.

 

For staff dependents, spouses, and courtesy card holders, you may check for your fitness user eligibility by visiting Physical Fitness Room I counter, at 4/F Purple Zone, YEUNG, or call at 3442 8025.

Who can access to the physical fitness room in the student residence hall?

For details, please refer to P.8 of “Application for Using Physical Fitness Rooms”.

Q9)

Ans:

How can eligible users apply for using the LCSD physical fitness rooms?

To apply for access to the LCSD Fitness Rooms, general eligible users should visit the PE Section counter and present their CityUHK ID number. After completing the application, applicants can either upload the certificate to "SmartPLAY" for verification, or submit the original certificate to any LCSD sport centre for further processing. For details of procedure, please click here.

 

For undergraduate eligible users who have passed PED1305, please print your transcript (with a “PASS” grade indicated for PED1305) by the end of semester. You can either upload the transcript to "SmartPLAY" for verification, or submit the original certificate to any LCSD sport centre for further processing. For details of procedure, please click here. If you prefer not to wait for the transcript, you can also visit the PE Section counter with your CityUHK ID Card to apply the certificate.
