How to refer concerned students to counselling service
Once the student agreed to see a counsellor, there are several steps that you can take:
| 1. | Give the information of Counselling Service, e.g. our pamphlet, our service counter no.: 34428478 to the student and encourage him/her to call and make appointment with a counsellor. |
| 2. | Offer to allow the student to call from your office in your presence immediately to ensure commitment. |
| 3. | Make the call for the student with his/her consent. |
| 4. | Accompany the student yourself or by a staff to SDS. It is most appreciated if you can call the Counselling Service at 34428478 ahead to give information before bringing the student over or sending the student directly so that better arrangement can be made to have a counsellor available to offer help. |
