Electives for PhD Students (2 Credits)/MPhil Students (4 Credits) for 2026 cohort and thereafter:

Research degree students can choose courses at postgraduate level offered by SCM to fulfil the coursework requirement, which are listed on the University website (CityUHK homepage -> Academic -> Programme and Course Catalogue -> Research Degree Programme OR Master's Programme -> Courses -> School of Creative Media).  Apart from those courses, students can choose to take other postgraduate courses offered by academic units at CityUHK or by other local tertiary institutions under the Cross-Institutional Course Enrolment Scheme.  Students should note that some courses are offered specifically under a certain programme.  Course selection are subject to approval by research supervisor and the School.

(Note for PhD Students only):
SM8407 Thesis Proposal Development is a suggested course for PhD students in Humanities / Art / Social Sciences and the School will pre-register the course for students concerned.
