Under the Sex Discrimination Ordinance (SDO), sexual harassment covers the sexual harassment of both men and women as well as persons of the same sex.

Sexual harassment may involve uninvited and unwelcome physical, visual, verbal or non-verbal conduct of a sexual nature that makes the person being sexually harassed feel offended, humiliated or intimidated, or which creates a hostile or intimidating environment.

One single incident can constitute sexual harassment. It is not necessary for there to be a series of incidents.

The hourly rate is HK$78 (effective from 1 January 2025).

For regular term assignments, you may work up to a maximum of 16.5 hours per week, across all concurrent job assignments (maximum of THREE concurrent part-time job assignments).

For summer term assignments, you may work EITHER

on a part-time basis for a maximum of 16.5 hours per week, across all concurrent job assignments (maximum of THREE concurrent part-time job assignments); OR
on a full-time basis at 44 hours per week, with an employment period of at least 2 consecutive weeks (maximum of one concurrent job assignment across all job types).

Entrance Scholarship and Outstanding Athletes Scholarship are available for our local and non-local freshmen. Upon successful admission, we will identify students with outstanding academic and/or non-academic achievement for the entrance scholarships. So you do not have to submit applications separately.

If you are studying on a government-funded bachelor's degree, the tuition fee is divided into two instalments. You have to settle the tuition fees in Semester A and Semester B. Click here for details on payment arrangements.

You may consider applying for the financial assistance schemes, namely the Government Grants and Loans, provided by the Student Finance Office (SFO), under the Working Family and Student Financial Assistance Agency (WFSFAA).

Supplementing the Government Financial Assistance Scheme, CityUHK Financial Assistance Scheme also offers bursaries and/or interest-free loans to assist students who face financial hardship. Each year, different rounds of applications may be invited, subject to the availability of bursary / loan fund. You are encouraged to make prior appointment to meet officers of Student Finance Team at SDS for financial advice.

Yeung Kin Man Academic Building (AC1) is divided into 4 colour zones: Yellow (Y), Green (G), Blue (B) and Purple (P). All lecture theatres (LT1-LT18) can be found on the 4th floor; While Bank of China (Hong Kong) Complex (BOC) is located at the Red (R) zone on the campus.
