About Student Life
Student Life@CityUHK
Student Life extends beyond academic study to support students’ personal, social and professional development throughout their university journey. We aim to help students make the most of their time at CityUHK, and grow into well-rounded individuals prepared for future challenges.
Student Development
The core of Student Life is to enrich the whole-person development of students. We provide diverse support in areas such as:
- Career and Professional Development
- Counselling and Mental Health
- Sports and Wellness
- Arts and Cultural Development
- Community Service
- Student Leadership
- Special Educational Needs
- Scholarships and Financial Aids
Student Residence
Living on campus is another important aspect of Student Life. We provide a dynamic residential experience for students from diverse cultural backgrounds. Through hall life and resident-led activities, students can build friendships, develop a sense of belonging, and engage in a wide range of social and community-building events.
Experiences Outside Classrooms
Student Life at CityUHK also places strong emphasis on engagement beyond the classroom. Participation is further supported through platforms such as CRESDA, which enables students to record and reflect on their development activities, track their achievements, and identify areas for further growth.
Student Affairs
CityUHK values student participation as an integral part of University governance and provides students with meaningful opportunities to contribute to decision-making on matters that affect student life and development.
Student representatives in different student affairs-related committees, will collaborate with University members to share student perspectives and help shape policies, programmes and initiatives. Examples include the Student Affairs Committee and the Cultural and Sports Committee, which play important roles in enhancing the student experience and fostering a vibrant campus community.
Through active participation in these committees, students are encouraged to become engaged partners in the continuous development of the University and the wider student community.
