On 13 October, Professor Michael Ngai, Chairman of Council of CityUHK, was bestowed with an Honorary Professorship by Satbayev University in Kazakhstan, the country’s oldest university and the top-ranked institution by IQAA. This prestigious honour recognises his pivotal role in advancing CityUHK’s collaborations with institutions across the Belt and Road region, particularly in the realms of teaching, research, and academic exchange.

CityUHK will confer honorary doctoral degrees on three distinguished individuals in recognition of their significant contributions to education and societal well-being. The recipients, Mr Lester G. Huang, Professor Anna Fontcuberta and Professor Hesheng Chen, will receive their awards at the Honorary Awards Ceremony on 30 October.
