Professor Julien Chaisse Serves as Judge at ALB Hong Kong Law Awards 2026
Professor Julien CHAISSE of the School of Law, City University of Hong Kong, continued his long-standing service on the judging panel for the ALB Hong Kong Law Awards 2026. Marking his eighth year as a judge, he assessed submissions across several categories. The awards, organised by Asian Legal Business and Thomson Reuters, marked their 25th anniversary at the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong on 11 September 2026. The gala followed several months of judging and brought together more than 500 legal professionals, including law firm partners and corporate counsel.
At the ceremony, Professor Chaisse presented awards in three categories, including Criminal Litigation Law Firm of the Year, which went to Robertsons. He also presented the Dispute Resolution Boutique Law Firm of the Year and Transactional Boutique Law Firm of the Year awards.
Conversations with fellow judges and practitioners also provided ideas to take back to the classroom. For Professor Chaisse, contact with those advising clients and conducting cases helps keep teaching close to current practice, as the work of lawyers continues to change.

香港城市大學法律學院夏竹立教授出任 2026 ALB 香港法律大獎的評審。今年是他連續第 8 年擔任評審團成員，負責評估多個獎項類別的提名。該獎項由《亞洲法律雜誌》（Asian Legal Business, ALB）與湯森路透（Thomson Reuters）主辦，於 2026 年 9 月 11 日在香港君悅酒店舉行了第 25 屆頒獎典禮。經過數月的評審，這場盛會匯聚了500 多位法律界專業人士，包括律師事務所合夥人和企業法律顧問。
典禮期間，夏教授擔任了三個獎項的頒獎嘉賓，其中包括由羅拔臣律師事務所奪得的「年度刑事訴訟律師事務所」。此外，他還頒發了「年度爭議解決精品律師事務所」和「年度交易精品律師事務所」獎項。
與其他評委及法律實務界人士的交流，也為夏教授帶來了可帶回課堂的新靈感。在他看來，隨着律師工作不斷演變，與為客戶提供諮詢、親自辦案的實務界人士保持接觸，有助於確保教學始終緊貼當前實務。
