    As the Lunar New Year draws near, City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) Press is delighted to extend warm greetings to readers everywhere. In celebration of the season, CityUHK Press has proudly teamed up with the CityUHK Academy of Innovation for the first time to present a limited-edition Lunar New Year gift set. Including a festive poster, traditional fai chun, and red packets (lai see), the collection offers blessings through the art of classical calligraphy.

     

  5. University Presses Debut Joint Exhibition — "Documenting Hong Kong, Connecting the World" — Reaches Readers

    City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) Press, together with Hong Kong University Press and The Chinese University of Hong Kong Press, joined forces for the first time at the Taipei International Book Exhibition from February 3–8, 2026. The three university presses presented hundreds of selected academic titles alongside a diverse range of cultural and creative products, offering a comprehensive view of Hong Kong's academic publishing achievements and unique perspectives. The booth drew enthusiastic crowds and lively engagement throughout the fair.

In humanities and history, upcoming publications range from local topics, including the Royal Hong Kong Police, Tung Wah Hospital and Queen’s college, to further afield with the ancient Silk Road and Confucius Institutes.

  8. CityUHK Press Joins Global AUPresses #TeamUP Celebration with Double 11 Promotion

    The City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) Press is thrilled to announce an exclusive book promotion for the Double 11 shopping festival and the annual University Press Week under the global #TeamUP theme initiated by the Association of University Presses (AUPresses). This two-week campaign, running from 10 to 23 November 2025, will be available via three platforms: the CityUHK Bookshop, HKTVMall, and the CityUHK Press website.

  9. Knowledge Gathers in Central: CityUHK Press Book Corner Debuts

    City University of Hong Kong Press (CityUHK) Press is excited to announce that its latest book collections are now available at bookshelf NP01 on the 2nd floor of Joint Publishing (JP Books) in Central. From September 1 to October 31, 2025, the corner showcases a diverse range of newly published works, including the highly anticipated CityUHK GCEO Series, CityUHK TechVenture Series, and social work, cultural studies, and academic and professional titles.

  10. New Book "Stories of a Forgotten City: Kowloon Tsai" Fills Gap in Hong Kong's Local History

    The City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) Press hosted an engaging talk for its new title, Stories of a Forgotten City: Kowloon Tsai, during the Hong Kong Book Fair 2025. The event featured Mr. LEUNG Koon Sing, author of the book; The Honourable Vincent CHENG Wing-shun, BBS, MH, JP, Legislative Council Member of the HKSAR; and Mr. MAN Cheuk-fei, Publisher and Chief Executive Officer of Master Insight Media Limited, with Mr. Edmund Chan, Director of City University of Hong Kong Press, serving as the moderator.
