CityUHK Cares for YOU 2024/25

The opening ceremony, hosted by our officiating guest, Professor Henry CHUNG Shu-hung, Dean of Students, along with our honourable guests—Professor Dannii YEUNG, Associate Provost (Student Life); Professor TOH Kian Lam, Director of Student Development Services (SDS); Dr. Wilson LAM, Director of the Student Residence Office; Ms. LAI Fung Ming Brenda, Director of Facilities Management Office; and the Associate Directors of SDS, Ms. Steffi LAU, Mr. Sunny CHAU, and Dr. Larry NG—marked the official opening of CityUHK Cares for YOU.
Students enjoyed dancing and playing drums during the African drums workshop.
Students wrote their tips for reducing anxiety on memo cards and posted them on message boards to share with the entire CityUHK community and support those facing similar challenges.

Description

Each semester, the “CityUHK Cares for YOU” campaign is organised to show our support for the CityUHK community. This year, themed “Minds United: Together We Thrive,” the campaign aimed to encourage students to support their peers in overcoming anxiety and to grow together with the university. Various activities were organised to help students reduce stress and face challenges with a positive mindset. Additionally, a new mascot, Yearnie, was introduced to promote counselling services within the CityUHK community.
