Description
On 15 September 2026, the Career and Leadership Centre (CLC) of Student Development Services (SDS) joined hands with the Civil Service Bureau of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) to organise the Government Career Fair 2026. Showcasing more than 60 civil service grades across around 30 government bureaux and departments, the Fair provided students with valuable opportunities to learn about careers in the public sector and engage directly with serving civil servants.
The Fair commenced with welcoming remarks delivered by Mrs Ingrid Yeung Ho Poi-yan, Secretary for the Civil Service of the HKSAR Government, and Professor Chan Chi-hou, Vice-President (Community Engagement) of CityUHK. The event attracted a large number of students from diverse backgrounds who aspire to pursue careers in public service and contribute to the community. In addition to exploring career opportunities, students attended career talks to better equip themselves with the skills and knowledge required for the application process. They also had the chance to attend on-site interviews and written tests organised by participating recruitment units.
Looking ahead, CLC will remain committed to supporting students' career development through a wide range of employment-related activities, nurturing them into well-equipped graduates prepared for future career success.
