Application Procedures and Details
- Students are required to fill out an online application form here.
- Students concerned will receive an email with the attachment of the filled application form. Please submit the form together with a photocopy of their academic transcript(s) for previous academic qualifications obtained, to the coordinating offices of their home institutions for endorsement. Applications without the home institution's endorsement would not be processed.
- If an applicant has outstanding fees/payments with CityU, he/she should settle the outstanding fees/payments in full before being allowed to enrol in the course(s).
- Applications for courses NOT on the above lists will NOT be accepted for processing.
- Late applications should be submitted with written approvals (email approvals are also accepted) from the course examiner and the Head of the course offering department. Otherwise, the application will NOT be processed.
Course Registration
- Students will be officially registered for the course and are required to participate fully in the course, which includes completion of coursework and an examination, if applicable. Students should observe the rules and regulations prescribed by CityU during course registration.
- Students will not be issued the CityU student ID card. An approval letter will be issued for identification purposes in class or during the examination.
- Successful applicants are advised to apply for a JULAC card from their home institution to access CityU’s Library.
- Requests for withdrawal from a course should be submitted on or before the University’s course add/drop deadline. Late applications will normally not be entertained.
Academic Calendar and Examination
- There are normally 13 teaching weeks in a semester. The teaching weeks and examination periods for the academic year 2023/24 are as follows:
Semester/Term Period Semester A Teaching Period 4 September - 2 December 2023 Examination Period 11 - 23 December 2023 Semester B Teaching Period 15 January - 20 April 2024 Examination Period 29 April - 13 May 2024 - Students will be informed of the examination timetable and related details normally one month before the start of the examination period by email.
- The study under this Scheme will not lead to a degree or other awards from CityU. Upon completion of the study, an academic report will be sent to the students via their home institution. Students may also apply for an academic transcript according to the University's procedures.
