SEE Annual Gathering and Farewell Lunch with Professor Chak Chan

On 21 April 2023, the School of Energy and Environment (SEE) organized its first School Annual Lunch Gathering since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Just in time, Professor Chak K. CHAN, our former School Dean and Chair Professor of Atmospheric Environment, will leave CityU at the end of April to join King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Saudi Arabia.  The SEE Annual Lunch Gathering becomes a good occasion for SEE members and CityU friends to meet and say farewell to Professor Chak Chan. 

In the annual gathering, Professor Guohua Chen, Dean (SEE), shared SEE’s latest achievements with participants and sincerely thanked Professor Chak Chan for his significant contributions to SEE’s developments. We wish Professor Chak Chan all the best in his new role at KAUST and are pleased to have him as our Adjunct Professor for the next three years.    

This annual lunch gathering also provided SEE members an excellent chance to meet our Joint/Affiliate/Adjunct Professors and CityU friends who are busy and not easy to meet and chat face-to-face. All participants enjoyed the lunchtime together and let us look forward to meeting again next year.
