PhD Opportunity: Animal Physiology

We are seeking expressions of interest from potential PhD students with an interest in dairy science, dairy cattle health, dairy production as well as in cell physiology, biochemistry, molecular biology, laboratory techniques and metabolomics. Topic: Metabolic pathway regulation supporting a healthy lactation cycle in dairy cows
Student characteristics:
  • Bachelor and Master in Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine, or a related field
  • strong interest in cell physiology, biochemistry, molecular biology, including laboratory techniques such as Western blotting, and metabolomics
  • University or veterinary school rank will be taken into account
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or more on a scale of 4, or equivalent
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Lateral thinker
  • Not at risk of ban from entering the United States or Hong Kong

Financial support: PhD students in this programme are eligible to apply for scholarship
Duration: 4 years, starting in 2019
