A delegation of the Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority of Singapore (AVA) consisting of Ms. Tan Poh Hong (CEO), Dr. Yap Him Hoo (Director General and Deputy CEO (Regulatory Programmes & Ops), Ms. Shirley Chua (Director, Surveillance and Compliance Department), Dr. Wu Yuansheng (Deputy Director, Pesticide Residues Section) and Dr. Edmund Choo (Veterinarian, Import Inspection Section) visited the College of Veterinary Medicine and Life Sciences on 31st of August 2017. The purpose of this visit was to gain an insight into the work of the Centre for Applied One Health Research and Policy Advice and to find out more about the academic and professional programmes in the College of Veterinary Medicine and Life Sciences. The delegation met with Prof Michael Reichel (Dean of College of Veterinary Medicine and Life Sciences) and Prof Dirk Pfeiffer (Chair Professor of One Health, College of Veterinary Medicine and Life Sciences and Director, Centre for Applied One Health Research and Policy Advice) and was given a tour of the Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory by its director Dr. Fraser Hill.
