We are pleased to announce the concurrent appointment of Professor Vanessa Barrs as Associate Dean and Director of Veterinary Affairs of the Jockey Club College of Veterinary Medicine and Life Sciences (JCC). Professor Barrs has excellent research records in veterinary infectious diseases and extensive experience in veterinary curriculum development and accreditation. Prior to joining JCC on 18 November 2019 as Chair Professor of Companion Animal Health and Disease, Professor Barrs was the Professor of Feline Medicine & Infectious Diseases, Director of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, and Head of the Department of Small Animal Medicine at the University of Sydney School of Veterinary Science, which is among the top 10 vet schools worldwide in the recent QS ranking.
