Dr. Stephanie Johnnides was born and raised in Miami, Florida. She obtained her bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida in Health Science Education. During her undergraduate years in Gainesville, Florida, she worked as an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) technician at University of Florida Veterinary Medicine Teaching Hospital, where she realized that Emergency and Critical Care Medicine was her calling.

She later when on to pursue a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Ross University, followed by an internship at Long Island Veterinary Specialists, New York. She then completed a residency in Emergency and Critical Care Medical and Surgery at the Animal Emergency Center, Wisconsin, where she was fortunate to be instructed by Dr. Rebecca Kirby and Elke Rudloff, pioneers in Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care.

Dr. Johnnides enjoys working under pressure and is very excited to be part of the CityU- Peace Avenue Veterinary Clinic. She looks forward to making a difference to both, the clients and their pets, by providing the best possible outcome in emergent and critical situations.

Some of her special interests include acute intoxications, management of SIRS and sepsis, trauma management and mechanical ventilation. She has a passion for education and will speak to the HK veterinary community on the management of Addisonian crisis.
