Report

The College of Veterinary Medicine and Life Sciences at City University of Hong Kong was fortunate to host the international expert, Prof Katherina Staerk on 1 March 2017. In her presentation, Prof Staerk talked about antimicrobial resistance, strategies to measure it and to mitigate the risk of its development, policies adopted by various countries to reduce antimicrobial usage and ways to assess effectiveness of these policies.

Close to fifty participants attended the seminar, which was followed by an engaging and thought provoking question/answer session. SVM is proud to be able to host speakers of such high calibre and is strongly committed to working with the various stakeholders in Hong Kong towards the betterment of one health and public health in Hong Kong. We look forward to several more seminars of this nature.
