CityUHK Farm

City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) proudly operates Hong Kong’s only dairy farm, located in the New Territories. CityHK Farm serves as a state-of-the-art training and research facility to support Hong Kong’s first and only veterinary program and the only one in Asia to have dual international accreditation from the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons and the Australasian Veterinary Boards Council.

At CityUHK Farm veterinary students gain hands-on experience in animal husbandry, cattle handling, clinical examination, animal welfare, farm management and food safety, preparing them to become skilled professionals in veterinary medicine and public health.

The Jersey cows that founded CityUHK Farm were imported from Australia, after careful selection for heat tolerance and high-quality milk production. Beyond its educational mission, CityUHK Farm is a showcase for sustainable food production and research. Food destined for landfill including brewers’ grain, bread and biscuit waste, soya hulls, citrus and vegetable waste, is instead incorporated into cattle feed, which substantially reduces the environmental impact of dairy production.

CityUHK Milk and Ice Cream

CityUHK Milk and Ice Cream are premium, locally produced dairy products crafted from the farm’s fresh Jersey milk. The milk, pasteurised locally for freshness and sustainability, is creamy and rich in A2 beta-casein protein for easier digestion.

CityUHK Ice Cream is made from the same high-quality Jersey milk and provides a delicious way to support sustainable local farming – each cup reflects our commitment to education, quality and community.
