Postdoc/Research Assistant in the School of Law (Appointment for 12 months) [Ref. B/R/985/09]

 

Duties

The appointee will assist the Principal Investigator in competition law and/or law and economics projects.  The duties include assisting in the collection and evaluation of secondary literature, conducting qualitative research, analyzing data and supporting the drafting of academic scholarship.

Requirements

A PhD degree in Law from a reputable university with no more than 3 years’ postdoctoral experience.  Excellent academic qualification, good command of written and spoken English, and appropriate experience in conducting academic research are required.  Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of Economics.

Candidates with a Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in Law from a reputable university with no more than 6 years of service at the University may be considered for appointment as Research Assistant.  Preference will be given to candidates who have published a case note or article in academic journal.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Salary offered will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental consultations at the campus clinic.
