The appointee is expected to study the legal and regulatory environments and interaction of the financial markets in Hong Kong and Mainland China in the digital age. Duties include conducting doctrinal and empirical research related to research projects; data/information collection and processing; literature review and evaluation; field research; drafting and editing reports; assisting in the logistics arrangements (including conferences and events organisation); and performing any other duties as assigned by supervisors.
A PhD degree in Law with no more than 3 years' experience after the award of a PhD degree, with demonstrated academic training, research experience, interest and writing skills in comparative private law, corporate law, contract law, financial law, and/or international economic law, and a basic understanding of law and technology. The appointee should be skillful in doctrinal and empirical research, and familiar with the relevant research methods. The appointee is expected to be able to work independently with minimal supervision. S/he will have opportunities to present and publish her/his own research findings to peers.
Salary offered will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental consultations at the campus clinic.
