Empowering Hong Kong STEM Secondary Students’ Reading Abilities through a School-based Reciprocal Reading Programme and An Online Learning Platform
Conduct research on empowering Hong Kong STEM secondary students’ reading abilities through a school-based reciprocal reading programme and develop an Online Learning Platform; assist the project leader in conducting evaluation, running workshops, co-ordinating with local schools and data analysis; prepare and update related documentation (including work progress reports, ethics, fieldwork records, literature reviews, article writing); be responsible for project management; and perform any other duties as assigned.
A Bachelor’s degree in Applied Linguistics/Language Studies/Education/Psychology or related social sciences disciplines with research experience, and no more than a total of 6 years of service at the University. Experience in SPSS or related software, knowledge of multimedia and online teaching platforms, proficiency in quantitative analysis and research methodology, computer knowledge, demonstrated ability to carry out research independently, good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, good interpersonal skills, strong organizational skills, and ability to work independently and within a team are required. Proficiency in Cantonese would be an advantage.
