Senior Manager (Campus Planning) in the Campus Development Office [Ref. A/587/09]

 

Duties

Reporting to the Director of Campus Development, the appointee will be responsible for the strategic planning, administration and management of campus master plan, campus space planning and allocation, associated capital projects development, and Alterations, Additions and Improvements (AA&I) projects of the University. Main duties include to:

  1. Act as secretary to the Campus Space and Accommodation Sub-committee (CSASC);
  2. Oversee the University’s Space Inventory and Drawing Records and the Working Group (Premises) of UGC Cost Allocation Guidelines (CAG);
  3. Lead and supervise the Campus Planning and Information Section;
  4. Coordinate data collection, and prepare statistics and reports on strategic planning and space planning for management, other units and UGC;
  5. Review and enhance the information databases of the University’s premises, space inventory, and building services to facilitate campus planning and works; and
  6. Perform any other duties as assigned.


Requirements

  1. A Bachelor’s degree with at least 15 years’ relevant experience and a valid safety training course certificate (commonly known as “Green Card”);
  2. Being confident and creative; good presentation and organizational skills, self-motivation for performance enhancement, proven management and leadership ability to work under tight schedules; and good analytical and interpersonal skills are required; 
  3. Substantial experience in higher education institutions and/or experience in government subvention projects, and ability to use AutoCAD, Revit and computer graphic software are preferred.


Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
