IT Officer/Assistant IT Officer in the Department of Systems Engineering (Appointment for 12 months) [Ref. A/R/1219/09]


Duties

  1. Participate in the software development projects on asset management, teaching laboratory, office administration and other related areas;
  2. Analyse user requirements, design and develop IT solutions for departmental needs;
  3. Prepare and update system specifications, user manuals and related documentation;
  4. Perform any other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements

  1. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or related disciplines;
  2. Experience in software development with SQL, PL/SQL, Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, Python and jQuery;
  3. Ability to work independently with a good analytical mind and problem-solving skills; and
  4. Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua) is required.
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform and Microsoft 365 would be an advantage.

 

Fresh graduates will also be considered. Candidates with lower qualifications and at least 2 years’ relevant experience will be considered for appointment as Assistant IT Officer.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Salary offered will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental consultations at the campus clinic.
