Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Department of Accountancy (Appointment for 12 months) [Ref. B/R/1334/09]

Duties

  1. Teach tutorial classes mainly at undergraduate (BBA) level;
  2. Provide teaching support for Accounting courses;
  3. Conduct independent work in the preparation of teaching materials and new course design;
  4. Grade student assignments;
  5. Assist in some programme administration including internships, admission procedures or organising student activities;
  6. Handle teaching related administrative duties as assigned by course leaders; and
  7. Perform any other duties as assigned by Head, Associate Head and course leaders.

The appointee may be required to work beyond normal office hours occasionally.

Requirements

  1. A Master's/Bachelor's degree in Accounting;
  2. Excellent command of written and spoken English;
  3. Good leadership and communication skills with ability to work independently; and
  4. Passionate about student caring services are required.
  5. Candidates with teaching experience would be an advantage.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Salary offered will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental consultations at the campus clinic.
